Journalist J.M. Berger is an innovative thinker on the cutting edge of today's most important issues. From the economic collapse to global terrorism to the fringes of scientific discovery, our world is beseiged by complexity. Navigating these dangerous seas requires us to master that complexity and cut through a tangled information overload to find the truth beneath. Berger's work targets that complexity by breaking down boundaries, challenging assumptions, defying convention and creating a new kind of analysis.
Berger is available for consulting on a variety of issues, including unconventional business visions, significant issues within the equity markets, technology, new media, usability, politics and counterterrorism. Berger to open a conversation.
PROJECT PROPOSALS
J.M. Berger is currently writing books about the most important topics of our day. If you are a publisher or literary agent, please feel free to contact Berger with inquiries about the following projects:
Book and documentary on the assassination of a prominent suspected Al Qaeda financier by the U.S. government. The twist? He might not have been guilty.
Book and documentary on American-born Muslim convert who traveled to Afghanistan and subsequently became embroiled in a plot to blow up half of New York City.
The Complex Trap: Book about how complexity has created a world that literally no one understands. Crucial systems like the stock market, the Internet and democracy are mathematically unpredictable, leading to significant questions about how we live and the decisions our society makes.
The Mind of the Market: Book about the history of the stock market, and the radical -- but highly defensible -- possibility that the market has become an artificially intelligent information processing system.
Al Qaeda and the Assassins: Could the world's most dangerous terrorist organization be directly descended by an 11th century cult of killers? A powerful historical exploration suitable for a book and/or documentary.
Berger to discuss the possibilities.
